(4/27/25) The Love Revolution: Our Identity of Love

It's so easy to find our identity in so many other things in our lives (popularity, possessions, accomplishments, failures, what others say about us)--but God wants to give us our new identity through His revolutionary love--one of being "beloved." On this Sunday we wrapped up our series by learning how to embrace our new identity in God.

(4/13/25) The Love Revolution: Love for the World

Jesus was clear about the most important commandments in our lives: loving God, and loving our neighbors. So how do we deepen in our love for our neighbors/neighborhoods, even when it's messy? This Sunday we learned more about how to, from two interconnected stories (and the two times Jesus wept): the Palm Sunday story (a story of two parades) + the story of Jesus unexpectedly raising a dead guy.

What's the key to experiencing the fullness of God's love? To experiencing joy? To helping people "see" God? To showing others what it means to follow of God? Jesus says ALL of these are found in learning to "love one another." In this service, we submerge into how to "one another" in all sorts of practical ways--another way God's revolutionary love can change everything.

The "big picture" of the Bible and our story with God is that it ends where it began--with God restoring everything to back to how it was intended to be at Creation. Did you know that when you start to follow Jesus, He gives you a new daily purpose for your life? To demonstrate His love, grace, & hope everywhere we go! In this service we learned how to embrace the Great Commission + the Great Commandment from Jesus to become people who show His love in tangible ways to all the places we are sent.

On Sunday we submerged into the climax of The Big Picture story of the Bible--what Jesus did to change everything! But it's so easy to reduce salvation to something too small. Learn with us how to understand the bigger picture of salvation, what Jesus meant by all that talk about "Kingdom of God", and how to make our spiritual lives less like tofu and more like candy...

What if God is not distant from us, but close by, and can relate to everything we're going through? And what if the story of God isn't just "told", but embodied & lived out through our lives? Join us as we submerge into "the incarnation" of God in Jesus--the start of the New Testament and the key chapter in the "The Big Picture"!

A big part of the big picture of the Bible is God loves & values every single person, and is willing to work through each one to do impactful things in the world–if we’ll trust Him and let Him. So on Sunday we submerged into three inspiring stories of women from the Old Testament to see this in action, and were challenged to consider: Will I recognize & accept God's deep love & value of me? And will I reflect Him by showing that same love & value to others, regardless of our differences?
