As the world seems to get harder, darker, and scarier, and as we face more & more challenges in our own lives--we all find ourselves looking for hope, wondering if there's any reason for hope left. And that's exactly what God specializes in--hope! This Sunday we kicked off our new series based on the life of Peter, all about how to find hope, and in this message, it's how to find hope in God's calling on our lives & His plan for the world...

How do we handle our "disappointment with God", when things don't turn out like we hoped? In this message, we learned some important perspectives from the final chapter (surprising cliff-hanger ending) of Jonah's story--like to "never confuse life with God". And we found hope in knowing how God can bring overwhelming good out of things that feel overwhelmingly bad...

In this message, we learned the beautiful truth from Jonah's story (Chapter 3) that our God is the God of second chances (and 3rd, 4th, and 100th chances)--and that's what grace looks like! Learn with us how to recognize these second chances, to embrace them, obey God in them, and experience His renewed calling in our lives through them...

When we realize we've been running or drifting away from God, or just feel distant from Him (and wonder if He's abandoned us)--how do we find our way back to Him? In this message we learned from Jonah Ch. 2, that "the road back to God is always shorter than you think..."

It's so easy to find ourselves running from God, and running from the people He calls us to love. How do we learn to recognize this, to embrace more of His grace, and realize He's the only one worth running to? Learn with us from the beginning of Jonah's powerful story (Chapter 1) all about grace, justice, & judgement...

How do we move from being mere "fans" of Jesus, to becoming full-on followers? How do we avoid settling for a "lukewarm" faith, and learn to invite Jesus into every corner of our lives? On Sunday we learned from His final letter to the 7 churches in Revelation, and were inspired to more fully pursue Him!

It's so easy to slip into "hypocrisy" with our faith--which keeps us from really experiencing God, and keeps others from seeing the real God. So how do we live an authentic/sincere faith instead? On Sunday we learned practical ways to keep our faith & actions aligned--and some beautiful promises from Jesus of what's ahead when we do!

On Sunday we learned how to recognize what God has given us & entrusted us with, no matter how "small & insignificant" it may seem to us--and be faithful with it. Then we get to see God multiply it and do more than we ever imagined in our lives!

It can be very challenging figuring out how to navigate our faith & values in our our culture--we end up settling for hiding, fighting, or compromising. But Jesus has a better way to move forward!
On Sunday we learned how to live this out, how to live as light, and how to navigate temptations to compromise with wisdom...

We all face seasons of "trouble" & suffering, and they can be really challenging for our faith. So on Sunday we learned how to find hope in lots of promises from God, so we can know that our suffering is never wasted--it can strengthen us, nourish others, lead us to a "crown of life", and so much more!We're praying for you this week in your challenges--don't grow weary & give up, God has something for you in it!
